Lyrics
Rest assured, I like your motives
You’re most certainly are on the side of the angels
But I don’t want it for myself
There’s plenty others who should get your help
A solid vision from the top to the floor
Addressing all society’s ills to the core
But you can simply pass it along
Towards a burdened, underprivileged pawn
Colossal derelict this may have been in the past
But that’s just because we didn’t act too fast
So this time it will be implemented
We won’t allow anyone to circumvent it
Social isonomy for both old and young
Imagine all people on the same ladder rung
That is except for us who oversee it
That’s the only way we can ever guarantee it
Do not remove one single thing from my basement
I’m a civil abettor and my haunt should be exempt
For these accouterments have been in my lineage for years
And unlike that commoner, I really hold mine dear
And I don’t want to live without it
I don’t think I should have to do without it
