“Just How Much I Love You” – the very first “basement tape” that Ric and Ron recorded in 2022 on a lark as a humorous grunge tune. Somehow it all worked on the very first take.

Lyrics
You leave your wet towel on my side of the bed
You inject poison thoughts into the side of my head
You twist me in knots and then complain that I’m crooked
You contact my friends to claim that I’m a liar
Taking all I defend and setting it on fire
But once you get caught you’ll swear I miss-took it
I can only laugh alone, we can only cry together
As you will break my stones in every kind of weather
You make me the creep in your tales of lore
Instantly lose my seat once you walk through the door
Still I beg for you to look at me and really see
Just how much I love you
Though you have six toes on your left foot
You branded your emblem on the soles of my feet
Then complained that I lack the true soul to compete
You fled from the venue once I fell off the stage
You shave off my eyebrows and burn my beard
Then complain to the neighbors that I look so weird
And suggest it’s now proper to keep me in a cage
I crash alone even when we ride together
Implicit vows we took were for worse and not for better
The stew you brew includes whatever you please
Such as my ground up bones and my exhausted knees
If I jam with power to pass some mundane hour
You will toss my guitar into the cold shower
I once loved the passion but now hate the shame
As I wallow in perpetual self-blame
And once you break my brain you’ll toss me off of this train
And forget my name, despite how much I love you
