Lyrics
Theodore Sinatra went and filled his pack
And he told his Mama, he ain’t never coming back
Going to a bonfire, a sacred free-for-all, a so much higher call
He rehearsed his mantra, repeating it with lust
Vowing the ancient dogma will be pulverized to dust
But then he made a wrong turn while on the way, and found himself astray
As a dirty white hippie with a black mask and a cup full of glue
Brimming with self-righteousness from blue hair to brown shoe
Unsure of his destination and with no imagination, he got himself lost in a zone,
All alone, on the streets of the real world, filled with trash and with bones
In just under an hour, he sought help from the man, betraying his own stand
On a worn old glider, with a hand-held device
Teddy watched his old comrades efforts to entice
Oh, how he had missed his moment, How he lost his spot and now he feels the rot
As a dirty white hippie, unmasked and re-caged in his zoo
Consigned to Mama’s basement where ambitions will now stew,
So bitter and so blue, he knows not what he’s next to do
Oh, he cannot figure out what to do, he’s only wishing he had a clue
For he just wants, just wants to be part of something
Just wants to succeed at anything, anything, anything, anything
But he lacks originality, and he’s not graced with creativity
He must be told exactly what to do, when to do, how to do, why to do
So years go by and time slips into infinity
Grounding him down daily bit by bit, bit by bit, bit by bit, bit by bit, bit by bit
‘Til he’s a bitter old tipsy has-been all alone In the nude
Screaming at imaginary mice with attitude
