Lyrics
Go along to just get along, well it didn’t quite jive with me
So I had blazed a trail and forged my own details
Which caused some friends to flee
Tenacious layers of voracious naysayers
Love to tell me what I can not do
So when I set my course with independent source
They claimed that I was through
I walked on the wrong side of the road and got ejected from the clique
No tolerance if you exhibit what is authentic
Once you refute the hype and the stereotypes
The machine will dissolve in dismay
From a world of fright and covert appetites that linger in the way
So I chose to advance with my own compass,
One not calibrated to their clock tower
But such sovereign paths must be smothered fast
To maintain their grip on power
If you articulate the wrong side of notion
You should be aware of what’s in store
Sudden arrays of tedious, burdened chores and padlocked doors
Kindness pervades the essence of my heart
But this cannot be a credit to me
Must be the golden swords or the brilliant charts
Of my benevolent city
